No one can read your mind. Don’t assume that what you are thinking will be picked up by those around you. Express what you need with your voice. Tell people what you want, what you expect, what you like, and what you don’t like. You need not do it in an aggressive or loud manner, but you and you alone need to do it. Don’t wait for someone to do it on your behalf. Don’t wait for someone to pick up on your vibes. Use your voice as a source of power and expression.
Timidity, lack of self-worth, feeling you need to put others before yourself all contribute to a blocked throat chakra. Handing over the power of your voice to another person also blocks your self-expression. You have been given a voice for a reason. Believe that you have a right to use it.
Sit in a private space where no one can hear you in this meditation so that you have complete freedom to engage in it openly. Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Call to mind all of the things you have put off saying for fear of rejection, or bullying, or being made fun of. Things like, I don’t like it when you…., or please don’t make fun of …., or I want…., or, I don’t want…You might begin saying these things low at first for fear of being heard or even fear of saying them aloud. Feel yourself grow bolder as you allow these words to be birthed by your throat chakra. Say them strongly, with conviction. Give voice to your thoughts. Express yourself for there is no one here now to censor you. When you have finished having your say, take a closing deep breath. Notice your throat chakra close. Open your eyes and stretch.
“I use my voice in a powerful way to express what I want and need.”
