The energy of today supports self-care in ensuring that you are meeting your own basic needs. Eating good food, drinking plenty of water, and getting a good night’s sleep all support your basic needs in a healthy way. Today you’re being asked to dive a little deeper to take a look at how you clothe your body. How much are you investing in what you wear? The key here is to not go out and spend a lot of money, but to take care of what you do have by keeping it clean and in good repair. If there are holes and stains beyond repair, go buy something new, not necessarily expensive, but new. You’ll be amazed at how your mood will change for the better when you invest in taking the time to care about how you look.
As you reclaim the prime spot in your own life you will begin to unblock your root chakra. Self-care is integral, for if you don’t take care of yourself and get your basic needs met, who will? Part of this self-care is feeling worthy of focusing attention on yourself. Just as you work on discarding patterns of behaviour that no longer fit, so you should work on discarding clothing that no longer fits you or suits who you are now.
Today’s meditation is a waking meditation, meaning you are going to do this with eyes wide open. Set aside one hour of your day and begin to sort through clothing beginning with undergarments and moving outward to clothes such as tops, pants, and pyjamas or loungewear. Set aside things that no longer fit with the intention of donating them. Set aside the things that have holes or stains that cannot be removed and throw them away. Now look at clothes that no longer make you feel happy or confident when you wear them and put them in the donate pile. Keep only clothes that are clean, fit well, and most importantly, make you feel your ultimate best.
“I deserve to feel good and to look good. ”
