Today's Energy:

Patience is the word of the day. You know the saying, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Well, neither were self-defeating habits or thoughts that you would like to break. Each small step leads you to large changes. The importance is to continue the small steps even when those thoughts of doubt begin to emerge. Continue onward. Stop punishing yourself for past mistakes. The present is what matters. Be mindful of the energy that you are bringing into today. Let it be one of self-love and patience with yourself.

Chakra Healing:

Work on unblocking your sacral chakra in order to open up the floodgates to an energy that will greatly assist you with being more patient with yourself. As you work on allowing the energy of this chakra to flow unimpeded you will notice a correlation with how open your solar plexus and heart chakras will become as well. It is fine to examine past mistakes as long as you are not using it as a reason to continue to punish and belittle yourself. Instead use this exercise of self-reflection as a gauge to moving forward with different behaviors or attitudes.

Mindfulness Meditation:

Sit quietly in your favorite area of your living space. As you close your eyes, place your hands on your belly, just below your navel. Breathe in deeply and feel your belly fill with air. Slowly exhale. Go back to your childhood. Picture yourself at a young age, maybe 3 or 5 or 7. Notice you as a child running, laughing, carefree. See a loving parent standing watch over you from a distance, giving you space to explore, and possibly fall or get hurt, knowing that you will be able to recover. Now picture this child who is you getting on some form of cycle, possibly a tricycle or bicycle. See the child pedal with determination. As you, the child, attempts to make a turn you fall off the cycle and begin to cry. Notice the parent come over to you and encourage you to get up and dust yourself off. The parent speaks to you with love not condemnation or belittling for falling. See you as the child, pick yourself up and get back on the cycle and begin to ride more steadily and confidently. Notice the patience the parent has for you as the child in this learning process. Press your fingertips into your belly area, the area of your sacral chakra and send loving patience to yourself When the time is right, bid this inner child goodbye for now. Open your eyes.
