Today's Energy:

Time to get your head out of the clouds. Today’s energy encourages you to remain present and tend to your practical needs. When you begin to become too idealistic, it becomes easy to neglect the necessary tasks of your daily life. Before you know it, you’ve fallen behind on what must get done for you to thrive. This isn’t a day for wandering about willy-nilly, daydreaming of far-off places. Apply your attention to matters in a timely fashion to avoid having to play catch-up in a few days. Avoid making careless mistakes by removing distractions and putting all your attention into what you’re doing.

Chakra Healing:

Ground yourself through your root chakra. When this chakra is underactive, you become distracted and lost in thought. When balanced this chakra makes you aware of your surroundings, secure in your material foundation, and connected to your body

Mindfulness Meditation:

Sit down in an area where you will have space to move (it’s best if you can do this outside to connect with the Earth). Bring your knees to your chest, and wrap your arms around them. Gently, begin to roll backwards until you are lying down. Begin to notice the connection between the red energy at the base of your spine and the ground beneath you. Imagine there are roots coming out of your root chakra that go down into the dirt of the ground. Feel yourself nourished by the Earth, which allows trees to grow tall and plants to sustain all types of insects and animals in nature. Remember your inherent connection to the natural world and abundance of the universe. When you feel nourished, pull the energy of your root chakra back into the base of your spine. Stand up and do a few stretches to get moving again.
