Today’s energy is all about light in honor of the changing of seasons. Remember that when things seem darkest the light will soon return, just as in the fullest of light the sun will always return to darkness. This is an on-going cycle that is deeply ingrained in the psyche of all people. You too have a light within you that will grow and wane throughout the year. However your inner light is shining right now, remember it will always ebb and flow with the time. By acknowledging your inner light, you maintain connection to your internal flow of spiritual energy. This is a wonderful way to heal, grow, and refresh your energy system.
Work with your solar plexus to allow your inner light to illuminate your life. Your solar plexus is connected to your ability to show self-love and compassion. How well you take care of your own needs is aligned with how freely energy is flowing through your solar plexus chakra. As you heal and open this chakra your ability to focus on yourself without guilt will be greatly enhanced.
Today’s meditation is best done in the evening under candlelight. Light real candles if you have them or turn on your battery powered candles. If no candles are available, dim the lights in the room. Take a deep breath and feel warmed by the light that is available. Notice that even with limited light, you can still see in the darkness. Breathe the light into your solar plexus area, just above your naval. Feel the light enter in slowly and softly at first. Now feel it gradually increasing in its illumination until this area feels warm and comforting. Place your hands on your solar plexus and continue to breathe in the light. Feel confident that this “fire in your belly” will fuel your desire to take more care of yourself without guilt or hesitation. Understand that the more your love yourself the more you are able to freely love others. Send love and appreciation to yourself. When the time feels right, open your eyes and sit quietly for a few minutes.
