Today's Energy:

The beginning of the Self is rooted in health. Today’s energy reminds you that healthy living is at the root of many issues that crop up in our day to day activities. When energy cannot flow through a healthy body, it becomes stuck, trapped, and sour. Energy wants to move, this includes the transformation from food into the tissues of the body. Energy in processed food doesn’t have the same vibration as fresh produce, and your body can tell the difference. Allow your body the opportunity to hum with productive energy by being mindful of how you nourish it.

Chakra Healing:

The root chakra is the energetic center of the body’s health. Less nourishing foods can lead to a buildup of waste, perhaps even blocking your root chakra because it has to filter out the energy that your body doesn’t need. The next time you eat, send your awareness to your meal, grateful for the energy it’s contributing to your life.

Mindfulness Meditation:

Choose one meal for the day to be the focus of your meditation. It should be a meal that you prepare, rather than something pre-made. As you cook, offer gratitude to the food, as well as the hands that helped bring it to your table. Recognizing all the different parts of this process will help you feel connected to the world and all the energy that goes into nourishing your body. Once the meal is ready, let it sit for a minute before you dig in. Savor the appearance and smells, remembering that these are also forms of energy entering our bodies. When you take your first bites, focus your awareness on the variety of tastes as the food moves to different parts of your mouth. While eating, feel how your stomach gratefully holds it and starts the process of releasing the stored energy so it can become one with your body. When you are finished, take a few deep breaths and offer a final prayer of thanks to both the food and your body for working so well together and merging their energies.

Positive Affirmation Of The Day:

“I choose to nourish myself with gratitude and awareness so that the root of my being can grow and flourish.”
