As we are days from entering a new year it is normal to look ahead. However, today’s energy asks that you pause and show gratitude for the year that is ending. Despite hardships and heartbreaks that might have been encountered, it’s important to shift from anger to gratitude. There are life lessons meant to grow us spiritually and energetically through everything we encounter and endure. It’s also a good time to give gratitude for the good things that were showered upon you this year.
Share your gratitude through your throat chakra. Take time today to outwardly express all that you are grateful for this year. Activate your throat chakra by verbalizing your gratitude. In doing so you softly heal the hurtful words that were either spoken to you (including words you spoke to yourself) or words that were spoken about you. You also help unleash this powerful energy by giving thanks for all the good things that were made manifest. Use your expressive powers to show gratitude.
For today’s meditation, sit in a comfortable position and reflect on the year that is coming to a close. Write down, month by month, things that happened to you, viewed as both positive and negative by you. Now review the list and express words of gratitude for everything on the list, trusting that things were brought into your life for your highest good, even though you might not be able to see the benefits of spiritual growth just yet. You’ll find in hindsight that the “negative” things were springboards to your self-sufficiency, self-empowerment, and self-growth. Even things like a diagnosis or death of a friend or loved one. When you are finished, use the power of your voice and throat chakra to bless the closing year with gratitude.
“I am grateful for what this year has taught me and how it has supported my growth.”
